THIS WEEK’S NEWS
This week our Year 6s experienced a 'growth-mindset through BMX' workshop run by Mike Mullen, 6x BMX Halfpipe Champion and Former World Master Halfpipe Champion.
He started the morning with an assembly to the juniors where he explored the opening of the "can't door" when we are faced with challenges we don't think we can achieve and the process of learning through failure. Mike said that the Year 6 children echoed the theme of ‘flearning’ and perseverance when trying something new and he was really impressed with the range of skills they were able to demonstrate as well as their commitment to giving every challenge their best. Well done to everyone who participated in the day!
Great work from a group of our Key Stage 2 children, who took to the streets in their own time collecting litter in the local community. It was amazing to see how much they had collected which was also shared in our weekly assembly.
Today, all parents will have received their ‘class dojo’ letters which give you instructions on how to sign up to your child’s class. We look forward to being able to share with you some of the children’s day to day learning.
Thank you to all our parents that joined us for the curriculum coffee mornings. All information that was shared can be found on the school’s website here.
