Right! These words are spelled with the letter c at the end of each word.

When we used the other rules for spelling /k/ at the end of the word, the words had one syllable. Are these one-syllable words? (no). How many vowels are in the word plastic? (2) This is probably a two-syllable word. Repeat with the remaining words: sonic(2), rustic(2) majestic(3). Clap each syllable. “Every part has a vowel”. If our other rules only work on one-syllable words, then what is it about these words that tells us to use a ‘c’ on the end? (more than one-syllable)
