CHRISTCHURCH
HARPENDEN
Welcome to our church – we are delighted that you are with us today
Come praise and glorify our God,
The Father of our Lord.
In Christ He has in heav’nly realms
His blessings on us poured.
For pure and blameless in His sight
He destined us to be,
And now we’ve been adopted through
His Son eternally.
To the praise of Your glory,
To the praise of Your mercy and grace.
To the praise of Your glory,
You are the God who saves.
Come praise and glorify our God,
Who gives His grace in Christ.
In Him our sins are washed away
Redeemed through sacrifice.
In Him God has made known to us
The mystr’y of His will,
That Christ should be the head of all,
His purpose to fulfil.
To the praise of Your glory,
To the praise of Your mercy and grace.
To the praise of Your glory,
You are the God who saves.
Come praise and glorify our God,
For we’ve believed the Word.
And through our faith we have a seal,
The Spirit of the Lord.
The Spirit guarantees our hope
Until redemptions done,
Until we join in endless praise
To God, the Three - in - One.

Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise His name, I’m fixed upon it;
Name of Thy redeeming love.
O, to grace, how great a debtor,
Daily I’m constrained to be.
Make Thy goodness like a chain that
Binds my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love.
Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.
O that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face.
Clothed in righteousness and glory,
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace.

Jesus, Lord of all creation,
God’s own Son poured out for us.
How we’ll bow in adoration,
Saved by His redeeming blood.

LACK OF FAITH
The Root of Worry
The Root of Worry
Am I worried because I’m looking to myself when I should be looking to God?
Noah built the most enormous boat
That kept the birds and animals afloat.
The Lord was good, the Lord was strong
And Noah lived his life for Him.
Moses led his people through the sea
Taking them away from slavery.
The Lord was good, the Lord was strong
And Moses lived his life for Him.
Oh thank You, oh thank You,
That all through history You were faithful.
Thank You, oh thank You
That You are just the same when it comes to me,
When it comes to me.
David fought Goliath and he won,
A humble shepherd boy became a king.
The Lord was good, the Lord was strong
And David lived his life for Him.
Daniel was inside a lion's den,
But God brought him to safety once again.
The Lord was good, the Lord was strong
And Daniel lived his life for Him.
Oh thank You, oh thank You,
That all through history You were faithful.
Thank You, oh thank You
That You are just the same when it comes to me,
When it comes to me.
Jesus died to take away our sin
So we could get to know our God again.
The Lord is good, the Lord is strong
And we will live our lives for Him.
Oh thank You, oh thank You,
That all through history You were faithful.
Thank You, oh thank You
That You are just the same when it comes to…
Oh thank You, oh thank You,
That all through history You were faithful.
Thank You, oh thank You
That You are just the same when it comes to me,
When it comes to me.

seek his kingdom and his righteousness?
Father, You are King of Heaven
And greater than us all.
Everything is in Your hands
From huge right down to small.
Sometimes I forget that I
Can’t do things on my own.
Please now help me pray to You
And trust in You alone.
It’s like an earthworm try’ng to do press-ups
Like a potato try’ng to swim.
Like a mountain try’ng to brush its teeth
When we don’t rely on Him.
When we pray we trust our Father,
That’s what Jesus said.
So, I’ll stop trusting in myself
And pray to God instead.
Father, help me now to pray
And spend some time with You.
Father, You are always good
In all You say and do.
Sometimes I forget that I
Can share what’s on my mind.
Please now help me pray to You,
Knowing You are kind.
It’s like an earthworm try’ng to do press-ups
Like a potato try’ng to swim.
Like a mountain try’ng to brush its teeth

When we pray we trust our Father,
That’s what Jesus said.
So, I’ll stop trusting in myself
And pray to God instead.
We won't fear the battle, we won't fear the night,
We will walk the valley with You by our side.
You will go before us, You will lead the way,
We have found a refuge, only You can save.
Sing with joy now; our God is for us,
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress.
Raise your voice now, no love is greater,
Who can stand against us if our God is for us.
Even when I stumble, even when I fall,
Even when I turn back, still Your love is sure.
You will not abandon, You will not forsake,
You will cheer me onward with never-ending grace.
Sing with joy now; our God is for us,
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress.
Raise your voice now, no love is greater,
Who can stand against us if our God is for us.
Neither height nor depth can separate us,
Hell and death will not defeat us.
He who gave His son to free us,
Holds me in His love
(Repeat)
Sing with joy now; our God is for us,
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress.
Raise your voice now, no love is greater,
Who can stand against us if our God is for us.
Sing with joy now; our God is for us,
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress.
Raise your voice now, no love is greater,
Who can stand against us if our God is for us.

CHRISTCHURCH
HARPENDEN
Thank you joining us today!
Most merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
we confess that we have sinned in thought, word and deed.
We have not loved you with our whole heart.
We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.
In your mercy forgive what we have been,
help us to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be; that we may do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, our God.
Amen.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with us all evermore.
Amen
Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be Your name
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not
into temptation but deliver us from evil.
Amen
O great God of highest heav’n,
Occupy my lowly heart.
Own it all and reign supreme,
Conquer every rebel pow’r.
