What I can do with the results

techtuesdays.alphaplus.ca

  • Get a good sense about your learners’ readiness to deal with survey-type web pages and basic navigation (interact with the learner so you know where the challenges are – not possible during assessments)
  • Know that learners have (built) self-efficacy and are better prepared to deal with similar situations
  • Know more about your clients’ use of digital tools and preferences for online learning
  • Make evidence-based decisions about hardware and software purchases, and online program options
  • Have data to back-up request for additional funding for technology purchases (Ministry, Board, Community)

Online Assessments and Digital Tools

What kind of data I get

techtuesdays.alphaplus.ca

Survey questions include

  • Where computers or tablets or smartphones are used
  • What learners are able to do on any of these devices
  • Specific examples learners use these devices for
  • Programs and websites learners like to use
  • Social networking: Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram
  • What stops learners from using a computer
  • Have they used learning materials that are online
  • What would they like to learn online and how

The survey is fully customizable once transferred to a SurveyMonkey (paid) or Google (free) account. Only you and anyone you share access with will have access to the results.
