Pre-Engineering Explorations: Foundations of Innovation (Tech Expo Semester 1)�This semester course is dedicated to building a strong foundation in engineering principles, problem-solving techniques, and computational thinking. Through engaging hands-on activities, design challenges, and collaborative projects, you will embark on a journey of exploration and discovery. You will also gain insights into the importance of teamwork and collaboration in engineering projects such as an rubber band racer and a toothpick bridge By working in teams, you will learn to communicate effectively, share ideas, and leverage the strengths of each team member to tackle complex challenges.
Pre -Engineering Explorations: Applications and Design (Tech Expo Semester 2)�Delve into the world of engineering, focusing on advanced applications and innovative solutions. You will explore topics such as transportation systems through the design and construction of gravity racers, and a dream home. You will have opportunities to think critically, analyze data, iterate on designs, and collaborate with your peers to overcome engineering challenges.
Invention and Innovation Design and Modeling (I&I)
Students discover the design process as they complete instant design challenges to solve various problems. The design process is a methodical process used to solve a problem or create a new product. All engineering professions use this process as their cornerstone and this course will focus on this process.
Engineering Simulation & Fabrication (Pre-Engineering Semester 1)�In this course students will experience how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics interact to create our technological society. By active participation in research, design, fabrication, and prototype testing, students will explore various topics in Technology, such as structural engineering and transportation systems.
Engineering Design and Prototyping (Pre-Engineering Semester 2)�Students will work through all phases of a design from conceptualization, prototyping, testing to final evaluation of the results of the project. Creative thinking skills will be central to this course to help students explore answers to open-ended, authentic design solutions focusing on flight and the manufacturing design process.

Empowered EDU (Life Skills Family 7th)
This comprehensive course aims to equip students with vital skills crucial for their personal and professional growth. The course will delve into ethical decision making, enabling students to make informed choices aligned with their values. Additionally, students will explore career planning, understanding the significance of thoughtful career choices and gaining exposure to different career pathways. Financial literacy will be a key component, empowering students with money management strategies and fostering financial responsibility. Furthermore, the course will address family management skills, acquainting students with the responsibilities associated with managing a household. Throughout the course, critical thinking abilities will be developed, enhancing students' problem-solving skills and empowering them to navigate real-life situations effectively. Culinary Arts Entrepreneurship / Consumer Services & Entrepreneurship (Life Skills Society Semester 1)
The course begins with the fundamentals and principles of the art of cooking and the science of baking and includes management and production skills and techniques for owning and operating a business. As a result the career focus will be on Entrepreneurship and the finance and marketing involved in owning your own business.
Design & Marketing (Life Skills Society Semester 2)
Students will determine the basics of home-buying, elements and principles of design, lighting basics, landscape styles and the careers available. The course will also touch on basics of construction, construction drawings, finances, and project management skills. Students in will gain a working knowledge of promotion, textiles, merchandising, mathematics, selling, & visual merchandising. The course introduces the student to the essential concepts of marketing & finance theory required to provide the goods and services to meet the consumers’ wants and needs.
CS Pathway
Computer Science Explorations - New 6th grade
Computer Science Explorations is an introductory course based on the MyCS Scratch curriculum that empowers students to engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and fun. Through a series of real-world scenarios, projects and challenges, students are introduced to foundational concepts that they will return to repeatedly throughout the course.
STEM Innovators (Lab 21)
students will engage in a series of projects crafted to enhance their communication, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and computational thinking skills. By immersing themselves in these projects, students will acquire the essential competencies necessary to thrive in post-secondary studies and future careers. Students will sharpen their critical thinking abilities, foster innovation, and cultivate effective teamwork.
Apps & Animation - (CSI 1st Semester)
Create and share the content on your own web pages, while practicing valuable programming skills such as debugging, maximizing resources, and teamworks. Also, build on your coding experience as you program animations, interactive art, and games in Game Lab. You will use the same programming concepts and the design process computer scientists use daily.
Physical Computing and Artificial Intelligence (CSI 2nd Semester)
Explores the role of hardware platforms in computing and how different sensors can provide more effective input and output than the traditional keyboard, mouse, and monitor. You will use App Lab and Adafruit’s Circuit Playground, you’ll develop your programs. Also, you will design machine learning apps to solve a personally relevant problem.
