Zion Ponderosa Named Top 6 Adventure Resort by U.S. News and World Report Travel

We are excited to announce that U.S. News and World Report Travel recently named Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort as one of the top six adventure resorts in the U.S. for families seeking both adventure and relaxation.

The MMMM’s

Medical Form:

  • A pre-participation physical is needed for all Adults and Scouts when attending outings lasting 72 hours or more.
    • Complete the BSA’s 2019 printing of the Annual Health and Safety Form.
    • Parts A and B completed at home.
    • Part C completed by a physician.
    • Attach printed copy of insurance card.
  • Can request through your medical provider, or visit a MedPost Urgent Care location.
  • Turn in day prior to departure date.

Medications (for Scouts):

  • All Medication must be checked in during the check-in day
    • Prescribed - Provide in its original container
    • Over the counter - Provide in its original container
  • List all medication used (prescribed and over the counter using the Troops medical disbursement form. The Med Officer will use this form to track meds given.
  • Scouts using an Epipen (or similar device) and/or an inhaler (os similar device), may and are encouraged to carry one on their person at all time. We do request that you do check in a second device with the Med Officer during check in so that we have one on hand as well.
  • All medications will be secured in a locked container.

Money:

  • Although camp is paid for, there are always incidentals that a Scout always find (Car ride snack, ice cream bar from the snack shack, a cool souvenir).
  • Use your discretion when supplying funds, but we have seen anywhere from $40-$100 given for the week.
  • We have a banker. We can hold the money for your Scout. Bank is never closed!
  • Turned in during Check in day.

Mail:

  • We have a Mailman as well. Write letters to your Scout and we hand them out for them to enjoy. And if you want to include some snacks for his Patrol, that works as well. Just make sure you include enough for his entire Patrol (and maybe a few Scoutmasters as well)!
  • Make them positive!
  • Turn in at the check in day.
