After careful selection, we are pleased to offer you the position of library aide.

All libraries have a uniform organization system to help patrons find materials. We use the Dewey Decimal System.

  • Sign in when you arrive.
  • Tidy up and line up books on shelf edge.
  • Check in books and magazines.
  • Shelve fiction and graphic novels.
  • Tidy game area.
  • Help Mr. Brown with technology and other special tasks.

  • Wipe down tables when there are no classes.
  • Dust computers when there are no classes.
  • Fill up water.
  • Read and do homework.
  • Be self-directed. I should not have to tell you what to do.

Projects

You will read one approved book per quarter and complete a book project.

You will keep a weekly log.

Behavior Expectations

  • Do not disturb visiting classes and library patrons.
  • Be friendly, polite, and helpful to all library patrons.
  • All school rules apply.
