Objective

To reduce the risk of injury when inspecting and navigating potentially hazardous pipelines.

Background

Plastic production facilities need frequent inspections to prevent disasters caused by the toxic gasses. Companies will send employees to perform this task, which leads to an increased risk of exposure to toxic gasses.

Components

How does it work? The user can move the robot forward, backward, and control the height of the arm. The camera will display the surroundings to the user, while the sensors report the level of gas in the environment.
