Victory in Jesus
I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever!
He sought me and bought me with His
Redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him – He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory,
and I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea;
about the angels singing and the old redemption story, and some sweet day I’ll sing up there the song of victory.

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

What A Friend
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear,
What a privilege to carry ev’rything to God in prayer.
Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh, what needless pain we bear.
All because we do not carry ev’rything to God in prayer.
What A Friend
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our Refuge – take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer.
In His arm He’ll take and shield thee; Thou wilt find a solace there.
