SEL Screener

What is it?

CORE SEL survey is a quick student assessment that measures intrapersonal and extrapersonal competencies, including self-efficacy, self-management, social awareness and growth mindset.

Who will take it?

All students in grades 4-12 will be assessed twice a year.

When would they take it?

Fall: 9/27/2021 to 10/15/2021 and Spring 2/14/2022 - 3/4/2022

Why do they need to take it?

Our collective community is committed to ensuring the academic and social well-being of all students. The results of this survey will support sites with early intervention identifiers, school-wide initiatives, and intensive supports for identified students.

• The CORE Social Emotional Learning Screener measures 4 social-emotional competencies, as well as school culture and climate:
• Growth mindset
• Self-Efficacy
• Self-Management
• Social Awareness

Will I receive a copy of my child’s SEL report?

Yes, all reports will be available twice a year upon completion of Fall and Spring administrations and will be shared with you electronically from the district office.
