#3 Essay - Why this college? Put some effort into it. Can be a deciding factor for admission. Good writing, direct answer, stong opening paragraph, good grammar/punctuation/flow, your own style, correct data, revise, don’t procrastinate.

How Many and When?

In general: 5 -7 schools is a solid goal to strive for but...

If you are happy with the schools where you stand the strongest chance of admission then the final list may be smaller

Apply to Schools Early - BECAUSE...

    • Hear back sooner -Increase chance of admissions
    • Scholarships -Less stress
    • Special programs -Meet most deadlines
    • Priority registration -Focus on FAFSA/scholarships

Know Your Deadlines

  • What are your DEADLINES and what materials are needed for each school’s application?
  • Transcript and recommendation requests need to be 15 schools days prior to any deadline (Please factor in all holidays, days off and vacations/breaks)
