Background

  • On 7/13/23, Board discussed and voted on league structure and membership ideas presented by the LSIT (through work with the Survey team) and ideas from an additional club member (further background information here)

  • Several motions were adopted for the 2023-2024 season�
  • The question of if changes should be made to Thursday leagues remains open, with the Board seeking additional ideas/options from the broader membership�

Motions Adopted by Board on 7/13/23

  • Allows the charging of different prices for members who only play 1-night on M-Th versus those that play 2-nights
  • Allows a discounted dues rate for those that only play on weekend nights
  • Retains the 2022-2023 league selection approach of guaranteed league admission and a 2-evening league maximum
  • Allows top volunteers first access to 3rd evening league slots, if available
  • New League Committee formed that include
    • All league coordinators (including Daytime)
    • At-large club members (non-voting)
    • SVP as Chair/Board oversight
  • Decision on Thursday League Options/Placement postponed until further input gathered

Thursday League Options/Placement��Byline: How do we adjust league offerings to align with member preferences and club goals?�

The following Options could be possibilities:

Option A: Retire Pine Tree, move Griffin to Sunday. Make Thursday a new open league.

Option B: Retire Pine Tree, leave Griffin on Thursday. Add an open league on Thursday.

Option C: Leave Pine Tree and Griffin as is. Add a third open league on Thursday.

Option D: Leave Thursday as is.

Option E: Move Pine Tree to Sunday, leave Griffin to share Thursday with new open league.��
