Technical Community Manager

Priorities

Recruiting: Short - 1) ESW partnership, 2) Academic Tour 2014 Plan / Outreach, 3) Other recruiting: military / unemployed / academic clubs

Product Development: 1) ID tasks for all future efforts in Github, 2) Review & scrub protocols for design process

Issues

  • Even though we aren’t using PM, we still need a schedule communicated to us
  • We are asking people to submit work multiple times: work logs, contributor log
  • Academic Outreach -- concern we are asking to come visit to do outreach & requiring a high level of commitment to our organization without relationship building
  • Product Dev schedule for 1Q14 - would like to set up a team for the gasifier and invite interested people to OSE
  • Open Source Ecology Italy -- way forward

Help

  • Review and scrub protocols so they are useful to collaborator; need templates for products
  • ID risks to our product development
  • Do we have design sprint this weekend? Need agenda. Need Development Status and Needs to be updated each week.
  • Need access to product development boards. Example: http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/OSE_Lasersaur_Overall_Machine_Development_Board

This is what the Lasersaur PDB looks like because it is not shared to the public. OSE Staff needs to be able to edit these as well.
