A note from our Chapter President - Elect
Dear Prospective Sponsor,
The IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter is honored to continue building and supporting our design community in 2027. Our Chapter continues to support the advocacy efforts of the Texas Association of Interior Design and the Oklahoma Interior Designers. This year we also launched Design Leadership Lab, a two day business intensive for interior design leaders. Our chapter is excited to bring this professional development opportunity to our members as we continue to grow alongside each other. We could not do this vital work on behalf of the profession without the support of Chapter Sponsors.
Our over 1,400 members and hundreds of volunteers dedicate thousands of hours each year to bring relevant and inspiring programs to our Chapter including the IIDA Leaders Breakfasts in Dallas and Houston, as well as the Texas Oklahoma Design Excellence Awards in Austin. Our largest and most impactful event, the IIDA SHIFT Conference in Dallas, will be celebrating its 27th year in 2027 - an incredible milestone that showcases the resilience and relevancy of the IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter. SHIFT’s 26th Anniversary celebrated a sell out with 200 attendees as well as 33 universities, and 12 states in attendance. We look forward to celebrating our 27th Anniversary of SHIFT in January 2027.

IIDA Texas Oklahoma is a professional networking and educational association that supports design professionals, industry affiliates, educators, students, firms, and their clients. We are the largest chapter, with over 1,491 members in 2 states and 8 city centers.
MISSION
IIDA, with respect for the past accomplishments of interior design leaders, aims to establish a strong niche for the most talented and visionary interior design professionals, elevate the profession to the level it deserves, and pave the way for the next generation of interior design innovators.
The association provides a forum to showcase design professionals' impact on the health, safety, well-being, and virtual essence of the public. It strives to balance passion and strategy as designers create exceptional interiors and experiences.

The Chapter celebrates and recognizes excellence in design with designers and firms from all over TX and OK at this annual event. Awards are given in multiple categories
Providing a memorable, educational experience for the future of the design industry. Uniting to guide students as they shift from their school careers to their professional careers.
Our tuition reimbursement, study abroad scholarship, and special initiatives grant are available to Interior Design students and educators within Texas or Oklahoma.
The city centers gather to honor our volunteers, underwriters, and sponsors. This event provides space and time for our chapter leaders to connect and learn about new programs and initiatives.
Spotlighting leadership in the Dallas design community with IIDA benefactor, MillerKnoll and Interior Design. This event with an Award of Excellence honoree, and breakfast with our keynote speaker.
Spotlighting leadership in the Houston design community with IIDA benefactor, MillerKnoll and Interior Design. This event with an Award of Excellence honoree, and breakfast with our keynote speaker.
Emerging Leaders is a 10-month program developed for early to mid-level designers, with each monthly session led by an industry professional who is experienced in the topic.
TAID represents all the business and legislative aspects of the Interior Design Industry in TX. Our Chapter volunteers are dedicated to promoting, protecting and enhancing the Interior Design profession in the State of OK.
Designed for mid- to senior-level interior designers, this two-day intensive builds the business, leadership, and financial skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving design industry.

Fashion Forward features teams consisting of design professionals flaunting their technical skills and creativity by producing couture garments using materials provided by Industry partners. Contestants walk the runaway with the opportunity to win Best in Show, Most Sustainable, Crowd Favorite, and more!
Imagine That is an Annual Event that is a local Design Awards Gala and Silent Auction. Each year is a great opportunity to celebrate the best in San Antonio Interior Design and connect with local industry professionals and designers.
The Pantone Showcase is an annual event that highlights products and materials inspired by the Color of the Year. It brings together industry professionals and designers for networking and inspiration. The event features vendor booths, delicious snacks, cocktails, and door prizes.
ZeroLandfill has been recognized by OKC Beautiful for creating a program were discarded material and samples from local firms and manufacturers can be utilized by our community’s educators, artists, businesses, and general population
The Silent Auction is an annual tradition in West Texas. Each year is a different them that lets interior designers show their creativity. This annual event is a great opportunity for industry professionals from around Texas to connect with designers in West Texas.

Design City Limits celebrates the Austin spirit and legendary live music scene while bringing together the city’s design talent. The evening features a silent art auction featuring local artists, our annual hat-making competition and fashion show, where design firms showcase their couture creations on the runway!
Tulsa City Center trades tricks for treats with our annual Halloween bash. Previously known as Frights & Strikes, this year Tulsa raised our glasses with Frights & Flights at a local brewery. It’s the perfect mix of product showcases, designer networking, and festive Halloween fun!
The Chili Cook-Off is a lively and highly anticipated annual gathering hosted by IIDA Houston City Center. This annual event serves up a fun, communal experience where members of the local interior design community—and often their teams—compete by cooking their best chili recipes.
