Letter Focus:

We will be learning our letters in depth throughout the next 26 days in a program called Camp Kindergarten. We will focus on one letter per day starting with the following:

Pp, Nn, Ss, Aa,

Ll, Dd, Ff, Hh, Gg, Oo, Kk, Cc, Mm, Rr

Language Arts/Writing Focus:

We are focusing on comprehension and retelling, rhyming and alliteration, and fine motor skills.

Math Focus:

We are learning all about numbers 0-5 and doing our beginning of the year assessments (used to focus instruction for remainder of year).

Sight Words:

the, a, I, see, by, my, to, am , at, go, no, like, you, can, child’s name

Reminders:

Please make sure you connect to ClassDojo and turn in all paperwork by Friday, August 28th.

Science/Social Studies Focus:

We are focusing on classroom rules and expectations. We are also learning our way around the school and all about germs.

Safety Protocols:

It will be a group effort for us to be as safe as possible during this school year. We will be sanitizing, washing, and cleaning everything multiple times a day. Please talk to your child about social distancing and staying safe and healthy. We want everyone to be able to learn with us at school.
