We must be ready to expand in-person learning in second semester. �
Quarantine
Guidelines
On 12/7, MA Dept of Public Health updated guidelines in alignment with CDC updates
(Would amend Manual A1 & A7)

“If the person does not have a test and does not have symptoms, they may be allowed to leave quarantine on Day 11 (following 10 days of quarantine).”
Social Distance
Guidelines
Based on discussion and support among scientific and medical advisors, second semester planning will assume:

Implication of reduced social distancing

3 foot distancing in classrooms would be part of the expansion �of in-person learning and would support:
Class 1
One teacher
+
Two paraprofessionals
At 6 feet social distancing
Every JK and Grade 1 class is currently split into 2 sections, supported by 1 educator & 2 paraprofessionals
Class 1 Section A
Up to 12 students
In-Person Learning: Elementary Staffing (JK-Gr.1)
Class 1 Section B
Up to 12 students
Class 1: In Person
One teacher

One paraprofessional
Additional paraprofessional available to support other classrooms/grades
At 3 feet social distancing:
The two sections of the JK and Grade 1 class are collapsed supported by 1 teacher & 1 paraprofessional.
At 6 feet social distancing
Each building has one Grade 2 class and one Grade 3 class, each split into two sections, �supported by 2 educator and 1 paraprofessionals
