ELO-P Audit Finding 2024-003:

  • The pupil to staff ratio did not met the requirements per EC 46120(b)(2)(D).
  • For LCCS the pupil to staff ratio was met for only Grade 1 and Grade 4. Grades K, 3, 5, and 6 exceeded the ratio requirement.
  • For Lodestar, all grades in K - 6th grade did not meet the pupil to staff ratio requirements.

EXLP 13: Data-Driven Quality Improvement Process

  • The statute requires that the LEA/grantee agency must submit evidence of a data-driven quality improvement process that is based on the department’s guidance on program quality standards.

EXLP 15: Student-to-Staff Ratio

  • The statute requires that the LEA/grantee agency ensures that the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) serving transitional kindergarten or kindergarten pupils maintains a pupil-to-staff member ratio of no more than 10 to 1 (EC Section 46120(b)(2)(D)).

Resolution

The agency must upload evidence that the agency has started the data-driven quality

improvement process that is based on the department’s guidance on program quality standards.

Resolution

To resolve this finding, the agency must upload to CMT a month of attendance (sign-in/out

sheets) for students with their names and other personally identifiable information (ID numbers,

etc.) redacted.
