Our Goal

To have a collaborative research program embedded into the fifth grade curriculum that supports students learning objectives and holds students accountable.

Our Plan

Throughout the school year, students would engage in self-directed research with ongoing support of information literacy skills taught in library class.

Implementation

  • Instruction in a library class with each fifth grade class

  • Two hour block every 8 days for entire grade to practice research skills
