Differences Between Data Entry Locations

PLP General

Any other non-behavior general documentation the teacher would like to record.

Example: A call was made home to remind Bruce to bring his permission slip tomorrow.

PLP Classroom Behavior

Document classroom managed behaviors AND strategy used by the teacher.

Example: Bruce is wandering the room and pestering peers during small group instruction. I spoke with Bruce 1:1 about his behavior.

Behavior Referral

Document office-managed behaviors or classroom-managed behaviors that have become chronic

Example: Bruce starts a fight in the cafeteria with a few other students. A behavior referral is created in IC with all students involved attached to the incident.

    • Most overarching behavior
    • If behavior is not listed consider if PLP not needed or if should be a Behavior Referral
  • Teacher Response
    • Most over-arching response and rotate/try different responses over time.
  • Double check date/time

  • Do NOT document any safety issues (battery, etc)
  • Do NOT document bullying, weapons, drugs in PLP Classroom Behavior
