How to make content?

    • Amazing, easy and free resource to make flyers

    • Inspiration can be taken from many examples from multiple subchapters

    • Assign at least one brother for each program/event to take pictures and videos

    • Can use their own phone or borrow someone else's phone

    • Use an editing app like Lightroom to make photos look better

    • Videos can be simply scripted for 20-30 seconds announcement videos with date, location, and program information (Be fun and creative)

When to post?

    • Flyers
      • Flyers for regular programs can be posted a week before the program
      • Flyers for big events should be posted 2 to 4 weeks before, depending on the event
      • Examples:
        • Regular program: 1 week before
        • Dawah program: 1 week before
        • Food drive: 2 weeks before
        • Sports day: 2 weeks before
        • BBQ/Picnic: 4 weeks before
        • Education sessions: 4 weeks before
        • Camp: 3 months before

    • Pictures and Videos (Recaps)
      • Recap of your programs and events should be posted between a day and a week of that program or event, depending on how big it was
      • Examples:
        • Regular program: within 2 days
        • Dawah program: within 2 days
        • Food drive: within 2 days
        • Sports day: within 2 days
        • BBQ/Picnic: within 1 week
        • Education sessions: within 1 week
        • Camp: within 2 weeks

Guidelines when posting

    • This is da’wah, a quality call to Islam is the top priority
    • Make media an agenda point for monthly Associate Member Meetings
    • Start simple
      • Raw content is better than no content
      • Consistency is key, so limit barriers to posting
      • Quality does not always yield conversion
      • This work is secondary to actual organization work

Guidelines when posting

    • If it's questionable, DON’T do it
      • One bad video can affect the image of the entire organization
    • Explore and try things to learn
      • Learn tools, software, processes, and content creation
    • Try not to use AI and ChatGPT
      • You can use as a resource to help
      • Final product SHOULD NOT be AI generated

    • National Youth Media Team reserves right to take down any content at any time for any reason
      • Zonal Youth Directors also share this right
    • All content MUST be approved by your Zonal or Sub-Chapter Leadership
      • Recommendation: storyboard the idea for a post to your leadership before putting time into it
    • NO use of haram music, even in imitation, or from popular sounds/trends
      • Use Nasheeds instead
    • NO reference to improper language or inappropriate trends
