PROGRAM UPDATES

    • New Teaching Fellowship – all of our instructional staff is new this year! Student support is needed & appreciated.

  • Sick Student Policy – inform teacher, call school office / admin, if permission is given, their guardian can pick up from location. Please bring release forms on field trips.

  • Teacher / Chaperone Expectations
    • Parent Chaperones – Sign Waiver Release & Check in at Living Lab
    • Inform us of student needs
    • Stay engaged with students! Join in on the activities and exploration.

NEXT STEPS

  • Print, disperse and collect Ocean Discovery waivers by the first day of program (located on Teacher Portal)

  • Recruit chaperones as needed for your class
    • 1-2 highly encouraged*

  • Order student lunches as needed

  • Support instructors with classroom management & address student behavior as needed

*We reserve 2 chaperone spaces on the bus per class. If more is needed, let us know.

    • Bring a water bottle on both field trips
    • No student backpacks on coast field trip to La Jolla, we will give them one.
    • Wear comfortable shoes for walking
    • Wear nametags if possible
