Students for Change is a class intended to educate students on the severity and importance of climate change
The goal is to make students aware of the damage pollution is doing to our earth and create solutions
What better way to bring change and make the Earth better in the future than educating the students of tomorrow?

Curriculum and Focus
Growing up I was taught the basics…
Pollution is bad
Don’t litter
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
It wouldn’t hurt to go into more detail and allow students become more aware of the severity of climate change
The curriculum should be fun and exciting, something that grabs their attention and really opens their eyes to the issues we have at hand
Introducing artists who focus on these issues can inspire students to make a change or leave a mark

Programs and Activities
Students for Change can also provide after school activities and programs for underprivileged children and students who may show signs of criminality at an early age
Keeping them occupied with fun activities and programs can reduce the likeliness of them getting into trouble
Volunteer work and community service can come into play as well, for example going to community parks and picking up litter and etc.
Not only is this for a good cause but it can benefit them in the future when applying for colleges and can increase their chances of admission

Field Trips
Coming from experience, a class trip is what any typical student looks forward to during the school year
A more effective way than telling students would be showing them in the for of artwork, sculptures, paintings, drawings and etc.
A museum that portrays works of climate change and pollution would be a great way to inform them
