Safety Moment 2

RULE #1: FATIGUE

Fatigue can be fatal specially when you are driving a vehicle. The problem is that a worker doesn’t even know he is under fatigue influence.

If a worker is under fatigue influence, he’ll imagine conditions when they don’t exist. Now sudden reaction to those imaginary conditions will lead to the fatal accident.

People Take drugs to keep themselves calm, drivers use a lot of drugs to drive a long hop but in fact they are deteriorating the situation.

The best remedy is pull off the vehicle off the road and take rest. If the journey is long, make frequent stops, take nap, drink hot beverages e.g., tea, coffee etc and when ready continue your journey.

RULE #1: MALARIA

Malaria is a disease that spreads due to a parasite transferred from human to human due to bite of an infected mosquito.

It’s dangerous and if not treated on time, turns out deadly. For treatment, preventive medicines are taken, but prevention doesn’t end here. Many times, workers have to work in areas where malaria is prevailing. For prevention, wear long sleeve clothes, apply insect/mosquito repellents on body. Mosquito spray can be used in rooms to kill mosquito.
