Bio:

Henry Tumusiime is currently a Group Chief Human Resource Officer at Abacus Pharma (Africa) Ltd, a Carlyle Group Portfolio Company.

Previously, he was a Head of Human Resources at BIDCO Uganda Limited (Wilmar-Bidco JV), Director for Human Capital at MPL, Manager for People and Change at PricewaterhouseCoopers, HoHR at Unilever, OD Officer at URA and an HR Consultant at Reev Consult International.

He holds a MSc degree in Organizational and Social Psychology from LSE-UK and a Bachelor’s degree SWSA MUK Uganda. Henry is a Chartered Member of CIPD-UK, and a registered member HRMAU.

With over 18 years of HR transformational experience, Henry has been deeply involved in HR strategy reviews, Business Performance processes and implementation of wide scale organizational changes.

Henry is married to Stella K Tumusiime and together, they have 4 amazing kids (2 Boys and 2 Girls).

4. In practical terms, PMS is a handy tool in…

  • Cleansing and focusing on the best few choices. Strategy is about choices; PMS is about focusing on the few WIGs.

  • Identifying the “right” talent in the business to drive strategy (or those that can’t support drive strategy).

  • Supporting the process for rewarding performance (R&R vs PMS).
