river: a large natural flow of water that crosses an area of land and goes into an ocean, a lake, etc.
canyon:
a narrow, deep valley with steep sides, formed by a river
delta:
a fan-shaped deposit of mud and sand found at the mouth of a river

low spongy wetlands filled with thick growth of grasses and reeds

flat land near the edges of rivers,

plain:
a broad, mostly level (flat) area of treeless land
mountain:

but not as high as a mountain
valley:
low land between hills or mountains
plateau: a broad flat area of land higher than the surrounding land
desert:
dry, desolate, sandy, rocky land which receives very little rainfall
bay:
a small area of sea or lake partly enclosed by dry land
peninsula:
land that juts into water and is almost entirely surrounded by water
strait:
a narrow strip of water connecting two large bodies of water
