Residential and Community Solar

How to expand solar community- wide?

  • Solar Group Buys
  • American Rescue Plan Act
  • EIGP Grants
  • Community Partnerships
  • Net Zero Building Guidelines tied to TIF and Rezoning

Strategy 1: Mitigate climate change by reducing our community-wide energy use and eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by rapidly switching from fossil fuel sources to local, renewable sources of energy.

Action A: Partner with Dane County and other agencies to administer equitable energy efficiency programs for homeowners, renters, and businesses that reduce both energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Middleton will prioritize assistance to those who need it the most and for those who have been historically excluded from economic opportunities due to a legacy of unjust policies and racism.
