Within PB

    • Connect Crown Point to the rest of PB
    • Connect neighbors to the beach, bay, grocery stores, and schools
    • Improve crossings on core routes across challenging streets
    • Emphasis on pedestrian safety - all users are pedestrians at some point of their journey

Outside PB

    • Local connections to La Jolla & Bird Rock
    • Challenging to access Balboa trolley station
    • Concerning quality of Rose Creek path

PB Drive: Access to schools, Rose Creek, golf and recreation areas. Signal at intersection with Ingraham.

Jewel: Connection from Crown Point to shopping plazas and northern pathways. Signals at intersection with Grand and Garnet. South of Moorland is narrow with slow vehicle traffic.

Haines: Access the core business district and PB Middle. Low traffic volumes but no signal to cross Grand.

Fanuel: Excellent access to core business district, Fanuel Park and bay. Signal at intersection with Grand and Garnet. “Unofficial” bike lane south of Grand along sewer line.

Reed: Access to library and beach. Safer than PB Drive.

Missing intersection control or priority in key places.

Cass: Access to core business district. Serves many denser areas. Existing bike lanes.

Van Nuys: Access to school and Bird Rock/La Jolla area.

Law: Key neighborhood route to beach. Good route for all modes, with a few conflict points.

Diamond: Connects to beach, schools, and shopping plazas. Signal at intersection with Ingraham.

Lamont: Access to Kate Sessions park and school, Mission Bay, and businesses. Signals at intersection with Grand and Garnet.
