Plan:

  • Sept 16 or 23: Emmanouil the Greek is hosting a workshop in Augusta, Maine, where we build 24” 3d printers, along with 12” and 8”.
  • We can build an experimental Filament Maker on Day 2.
  • Next step: finish the CAD detail, label all parts, get a Final BOM
    • For the final BOM - upgrade Master Index with Amazon + McMasterCarr + Ebay

Questions/Comments

  • Is there an immediate plan for the August build of the Lyman Filament Maker for testing?

​

  • Discuss Part Sourcing relative to the Filament Maker and plastic part compatibility.

​

  • Discuss part printing, ABS, PLA, 9x7 max size, warping, heated beds?, & multi-sectioned parts

​

  • It would be nice to repeat every while and then the sprint experience. If it worked good is nice to repeat that whenever there is an opportunity to do so.

​

  • Try out next sprints with github to get a very fluent process (uploading automatically, and documenting commits)

​

  • When are we going to try the Github stuff? I think maybe we could start a little group and test how it works. (Roberto)

  • We have to use the same version of Freecad. They have some major differences.

​

  • Maybe add a section for questions on Freecad and demonstration of some workflow. It can be very useful to new developers who are struggling with the interface. Videos are good too but they are not interactive
