ACTIVITIES

ACADEMIC COURSES

INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

CONFERENCE AND TALK

Ultravioletto designs university courses where students master interactive installations and media environments, gaining hands-on experience with tools like TouchDesigner, Processing, Unity, Blender and Unreal through real-world projects.

The Studio designs and organizes intensive workshops on a specific topic. The goal is to focus on one aspect of a software or on the realization of a project. Workshops of different complexity and which may require both the student's previous experience but also a total inexperience with the tools covered.

Ultravioletto breaks down its own experience of interaction designer. A complex and exhaustive storytelling of the execution of a project, from conception to production. The studio also participates in expert panels on specific issues such as design and new media.

RUFA, Rome University of Fine Arts, is a multidisciplinary, international educational centre, offering authoritative, innovative courses in the field of Art, Design and Communication.

Since 2017 the University activated the Multimedia Arts and Design master.

Ultravioletto is involved in this course teaching TouchDesigner, Processing, OpenFrameworks and all the tools the students need to let their creativity flow. These photos and videos are some of the most remarkable results of the students projects realized during the master.

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the creative world, opening new possibilities for artists, designers, and digital innovators. In this introductory workshop, we will explore Stable Diffusion, one of the most advanced tools for AI-generated imagery.

Through a mix of theory and hands-on sessions, we will learn how to use this technology to create unique images, customize styles, and integrate AI into creative workflows. Whether you’re an illustrator, a graphic designer, or simply curious about the potential of AI, this workshop will provide you with the foundations to start experimenting with Stable Diffusion in an informed and innovative way.

T.U.M.O. is the acronym for “total unnecessary moving object” the title of this unique workshop held at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) as part of the interior design course.

The students are invited to explore the meaning of a evolving environment and develop a project from the concept to the visualization and schematics.

The results are all these beautiful kinetic prototype.

The workshop aims to give the basic tools to approach generative graphics through Processing. Best cases will be analyzed by understanding their design and implementation approach.

The activity will be aimed at developing a generative graphics poster: starting from data collection, we will try to write an "empathic algorithm" with the sense of the values collected.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to print their work and have a code ready to be expanded, modified and reused.

This workshop has the goal of experimenting storytelling by mixing virtual and real techniques. Through this experience the participants will have the opportunity to create a living micro-world thanks to augmented reality.

During the workshop techniques such as 3d papercraft, stop motion and video mapping will be used to create animated worlds inspired by Italo Calvino’s book “Invisible cities”.

TouchDesigner is one of the most powerful visual programming language for real time interactive multimedia content. The workshop is focused on the use of this tool for live performances that combines interaction with visuals projected on the stage. Students will learn to trace the performer's movements by acquiring their spatial coordinates. Translate this information to edit generative visuals in real time.
