HOME

In the Sehome Design Lab Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math combine to bring us full STEAM into the future. Connect both sides of your brain to solve design problems. Unlock your creativity and start innovating. Computing has opened up wonderful new ways for people to connect, design, research, play, create, and express themselves. However, just using a computer is only a small part of the picture. The real transformative and empowering experience comes when one learns how to translate ideas into reality. This pathway introduces students to the maker movement through project based learning.

Architecture

  • From technical sketches to creating your own 3D home models you’ll learn what it takes to get into this industry. Our goal will be to introduce the principles of Architecture.  We will practice what we have learned several ways.  Through research we will find out what interests us as designers and then formulate ideas around applying those interests to our own designs.  As designers, we will create well thought floor plans which will lead to full house plans.  Just as Architects do, we will consider environmental factors in our designs and learn how to accommodate those factors in intelligent ways.
