Each of the four models are extremely different. Odds are the Integrated Undergraduate is not for you at this point, so that leaves you with Internship, Residency, and Tradition (or Student Teaching). Each model have different features, and different pros and cons. You will need to select which is the best fit for you.

How SCOE Supports Your Job Search

A candidate becomes ‘Intern Eligible’ once the candidate completes ALL Program requirements. This means candidates are now eligible to apply for and interview for Intern jobs. Once hired, that is what begins your internship. SCOE does not guarantee you a job placement, but will support your job search by doing the following:

    • Teach you how to build a strong academic resume and cover letter
    • Provide opportunities to practice and refine answers to sample interview questions
    • Provide an EdJoin orientation
    • District and charter partnerships
      • SCOE hosts Meet and Greets with different schools and district offices, including Principals and HR departments for networking opportunities
        • Events will be ongoing throughout the summer
        • We will send emails about job openings from local schools as jobs become available
    • Offering job development workshops to support the hiring process
    • We will connect you with SCOE’s strong district partnerships and networking opportunities
    • SCOE communicates to all districts information including the intern credentials available from our intern program for future years to help facilitate networking opportunities
    • SCOE will host a Job Fair on April 12 from 9 am to 1 pm.
