Partnerships in College Credit Plus

Partnerships

    • Colleges approve credentialed secondary teachers to instruct CCP courses in HS
    • Creative ways to serve students, offer courses, and build career options with CCP

Model Pathways

    • Schools are required to collaborate with institutions to make a 15- and 30-credit hour model pathways for students
    • The first 15 credit hours students take are Level I courses; helps students make a plan
    • Not required for students to follow, but a helpful direction

Innovative Program Waivers and Early College High Schools

    • IPWs: Waiver of student eligibility requirements; expands access and support
    • ECHS: Separate from CCP; prioritizes underrepresented students, unique partnership

Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways (OGTP) and CCP

    • Created 30 credit hour pathways towards Associates degree
    • Directly transferable to Bachelors degree (public to public, some private)
    • Available and in development for multiple majors: Business, Arts, Math/Science, Engineering Technology, etc.

Maximizing Innovative Program Waivers (IPW)

    • One course 🡪 a multi-year pathway
    • Examples:
      • COTC and Reynoldsburg – Digital Media Design, CIT/eSTEM Pathways
      • Columbus State and Southwestern City Schools and Columbus City – Third Space
      • LCCC and Midview Local Schools – Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS)
