Problem (1)

Since the creation of the internet we’ve built some of our greatest inventions on it.

But somewhere along the way, we’ve gone off course…

Resulting in a centralized internet where a few gatekeepers such as tech companies have unprecedented power.

Problem (2)

Everyone’s online actions are tracked and censorship is rampant. At the flick of a switch, an entire company or individual’s online presence can be deleted.

This can happen for political reasons, or simply because one company does not agree with another’s business practices.

The time has come for users to take back the internet. One piece at a time….

Our Solution

A decentralized DNS (Domain Name System), giving anyone the ability to permissionessly create their own top level domain and own it permanently on the Ethereum blockchain.

“Domain objects (DomainCoins) could represent the right to own a domain for a year.”

- Satoshi Nakamoto

Use Cases

Nothing in this document should be viewed as investment advice. Please review full disclosures on slide 2.

Individuals

Purchase your own name or keywords for TLDs. Once registered, you can create associated subdomains such as gardening.hobby or john.doe.

Freedom Seekers and Privacy Enthusiasts

Those looking to avoid censorship by government, businesses, or others.

Freedom Seekers and Privacy Enthusiasts

Stakers

Users who lock their tokens to earn passive returns on sales of products and services, and those who operate DNS nodes on the DecentraWeb network.

Corporations & Businesses

Buy & own a completely custom Top-Level-Domain (TLD) like .tesla .apple or .bobsappliances.

Looking to avoid censorship by large countries and corporations.

How it Works

We check if the TLD has

been registered already on the Ethereum blockchain or if it is an existing TLD (.com, .net, .org, etc) via ICANN.

If the domain is available, we allow the user to register the domain on the blockchain as an ERC-721 NFT (non-fungible token).

The user then chooses the duration of their registration, between 1-5 years.  There’s an annual charge paid in ETH or DWEB.  Paying with DWEB gives the user a 50% discount

User pays the gas fee and the TLD is minted on the smart contract as an ERC-721 NFT and sent directly to the user’s wallet address.

The user now has full ownership of this TLD and can choose to use the domain, sell subdomains from it, or sell the domain in its entirety on any NFT-based platform such as OpenSea, Rarible, Swappable, etc.

User chooses a TLD such as .hotel

Holders will be able to stake their tokens to earn a percentage of the revenues generated by the protocol.

Functional MVP

At the launch of the ICO, we will have a fully functional MVP live with pre-registration of TLDs and subdomains.

Pre-registration Marketing

Using this momentum we will kick off a large marketing campaign to educate the public and open the pre-registration process.
