The Opportunity
Our Strategy & research team identified Multi-hire/recurring roles were 53% of the SMB jobs posted in September 2021.
50% of SMB revenue in March 2022 was from multi-hire or recurring hire users (seeking >1 role or recurring)
Potential $50M-$300M in incremental revenue opportunity for Indeed with these jobs
Our current system is not working well for these jobs.
The problem
We listened to our customers
“Our needs are so immediate that I’m finding that when a job posting is up, it gets moldy after about a week. And Rob (our rep) said, ‘at the 30th day, you need to refresh it. Take it down and put up a new one.”
I’m noticing after 7 days, not much is happening. I’ll get some stragglers. But it’s not real good.”
“I kind of don’t know how to spend a certain amount on each role because I have so many posted at the same time, I have no idea what is happening.”
“I find one (candidate), fill my bucket...but my bucket has holes in it and I’m constantly losing people too...a constant need to keep that bucket filled.”
Our goal
Enhance the value “scaled employers” get from Indeed & improve their work-streams through simple, easy to use job management options.

Current Customer Journey
Meet Mark
Mark is a a hiring specialist for a network of summer camps. He had a lot of turnover during the past season and wants to get a headstart on hiring for these open roles.
He has used Indeed in the past and believes the best candidates are always found using Indeed.
I’m ready to post openings for these new jobs on Indeed!
Oh, nice! I can easily fill in the info for posting my job.
I need to hire 7 counselors now… and fast… but I also have an ongoing need to fill this role.
I really wish I could choose both…
Well, I hope I can fill these initial roles in the next couple of days!
Looks great, let me post my job!
Oh right, I need to pay! Hmm, I have to post a few more roles and I’m not sure how much to spend...
Great! My job has been posted. Hopefully I can find some qualified candidates quickly…
It’s been a week and I haven’t found qualified counselors! What’s going on?!
“I wonder what my job looks like to job seekers”
My job post says it was posted 7 days ago! I had to jump to the second page to find it…
My job doesn’t look great to job seekers! They might think I’m not hiring anymore.

“I don't know why I would want to see something that's 30 days plus old. That's a waste of time...for me.”
- John, Job Seeker (JSKUR-1821)
How can I improve my results?
I’m going to repost the same job to make it say “just posted”!
“I have an idea!”
Great! I can use my older post as a template and tweak some words.
Looks great, let me confirm my new post!
I noticed that applies to my post start to drop off after a couple days…

So I spend a lot of time making the same jobs.
So I spend a lot of time making the same jobs.
“It’s time consuming because we’re doing it on a bi-weekly basis…and doing that 40x for one person took an entire day, if not 2 days.”
- Recruiting Manager
I really wish this could be an easier process.
Now, I’m starting to see the same applicants apply to my posts even though I rejected them…
And, one of my best counselors just quit!

“But I will have to spend more money… I’ve already gone through our budget for this month!”
“Maybe I can post another job in a nearby town…”
“I’m running out of time… I don’t want to post the same job over and over again.”
“What am I going to do?”
“We were like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re spending all this money and we’re not getting - we’re not having a good outcome. We’re not hiring through Indeed,’ and when we did, this person didn’t work out…”

Looks great, let me post my job!
Interesting, I can create a group of jobs? This is new. Let me try it out…
I’ll set the name of my group for my Austin locations.
Okay, I’ve selected all of my Austin based openings.
Great, I see the new group. And it looks like I can plan out a budget. Perfect!
Hmm, this is the recommended amount. I’m curious to see how this will be spread between my jobs.
Ah, so more of my budget is going to the jobs that are harder to fill based on the competition score. This is great!
All set!
Oh, wow. It also looks like I can see all of the candidates here across all the jobs in the group. This makes management easy!
Hmm, I wonder what my jobs group report is…
Whoa! This is a detailed breakdown of how I’m spending across all the jobs in my group. Perfect!
After 7 days I am asked if I want to refresh my older job post. Terrific!
I love that I can easily manage multiple jobs at once!
I feel confident that I won’t miss a qualified candidate!
