PROJECT LIMITS

-South Shore Drive from Highway 50 to Baily Road

WHY?

• Poor road base
• Potholes
• Alligator cracking
• Very thick asphalt
• Patches
• Current water drainage issues
• Flooding private property
• Flooding roadway

GOAL

• Improve asphalt and subgrade quality
• Improve drainage within right-of-way
• Improve water runoff quality – where possible

HOW?

• Increase size/quantity of culverts
• Re-ditch or add ditching to encourage positive water drainage
• Correct capacity in storm system

WHEN?

• Design Completion – May 1^st, 2021
• Project Bid Opening – June 2^nd, 2021
• Award Meeting – June 14^th – June 22^nd, 2021
• Construction Start – July 12^th, 2021

WHAT TO EXPECT

• During construction – South Shore Drive
• Fully shut down to thru traffic
• Local traffic should be prepared for rough terrain
• Follow construction signs
• Heavy machinery

ORDER OF OPERATIONS

• Homeowners will get advanced notice prior to the section of road in front of their home being removed
• Once a section of the road/base has been removed, it will be built back up to grade as soon as possible.
• Access to homes will only be limited for a maximum of one working day (a matter of hours)

• Concrete Driveways
• Removed up to the Right of Way line and replaced with gravel or asphalt
• Brick Paver Driveways
• Removed up to the Right of Way line and replaced with gravel or asphalt
• Utilities
• Sprinkler system
• Landscape
• Dog Fence
• Private Lighting
• Anything in the Right of Way that we are not made aware of, is not our responsibility to repair if impacted
