PALMER PARENT PRESS

Dear Palmer Families,

Another holiday season is upon us. We want to wish you and your families health, peace, and enjoyment throughout this winter holiday break. We look forward to seeing you in the new year!

In the event of a Snow Day, and if the following day(s) continue to be inclement weather, Palmer will follow a Remote Day Schedule:

Teachers will communicate a Google Meet link with families through SeeSaw/Email and Flyer.

  1. 9:00am-12:00pm Synchronous learning (Social Emotional Learning, Literacy, and Math)
  2. 12:00pm-1:00pm Lunch hour
  3. 1:00pm-3:55pm Asynchronous learning (SS/Science, Specials, and Teacher Office Hours)

Our students experience fluctuating emotions for a variety of reasons on a daily basis. Our commitment to equity is to approach behavior management with Restorative Practices as our school-wide model. Restorative Practices are rooted in recognizing harm in order to build and begin to repair relationships. Restorative Practices value student empowerment and help develop intrinsic motivation. We will treat unproductive behavior as opportunities to teach problem solving skills, social emotional learning, and upholding PRIDE.

Thank you for your partnership.

Ms. Dawn Salter
