Teacher Interview
Hi! I’ve interviewed Ms. Calzada (4th grade) and Ms. Hock (3rd grade), What I’ve interviewed them about is kindness, The first question I asked them is what kindness means to them. Ms. Calzada said “kindness is when people are being treated fairly, gently, and if they make a mistake people should help.” Ms. Hock said “kindness is when you think of someone else before you, use the golden rule, (treating others the way you want to be treated), and when you understand how people feel and put yourself in their shoes (empathy).” Remember to show kindness 24/7!

Leap Year
Imagine the extra-special day of February 29th is your friends’ 8th birthday… and his 2nd birthday. So he celebrates his birthday once every 4 years! Why does this happen? Well, every year you save up an extra quarter of a day, and every 4 years. These 6 hours are added up and become an extra day. That’s February 29 - Leap Year! It’s really fun to celebrate a leap year birthday. If you see someone that has one, make sure to say “Hi” or “Happy Birthday!”.
Celebrations
There are so many fun celebrations going on in March, even birthdays and St. Patrick’s Day! A leprechaun is always there on St. Patrick day. If you feel a little pinch, that means a leprechaun is next to you or in that room. Watch out for Mr. Leprechaun. Ouch! Spring break is also near. March 25-29 is spring break. Hope you all find some way to celebrate with your family!

Why do golfers wear two pants?

Students are not allowed to use their phones in school. Do you think we should let them? People have been saying that phones might be needed in school because they can study during parts of their day using them and when they have a break. But other people (especially grown-ups) think phones can be distracting if you’re using them in class. In schools that allow phones, students have been caught playing video games in class while teachers are teaching.
What do you think? Should schools use phones, or should they keep them banned?
