Working with our Communities – Context

  • Staffordshire County Council’s work with Communities is central to our Strategic Plan

  • On 15th February 2023, our Cabinet agreed to develop an ambitious and innovative Communities Strategy for Staffordshire

  • Developing a new Communities Strategy will give us a unique opportunity to challenge ourselves to think differently and build on our successes so far

  • The strategy will help us articulate how we empower communities and will highlight the important role our residents play in helping their families, their neighbours, and the community they are part of.

  • Now need to engage with our communities to understand what is important to people

  • 12-week engagement period which will inform the strategy
