Ava’s Tunnel Book

-Theme:You don't know how others truly feel, so treat them with the respect/kindness you would want.

-Quote Used: “A negative mind will never give you a positive life”

How theme is portrayed= in the background I drew a sunny bright day to represent what others may see that the girl in the

drawing is happy though when you see inside her head it's raining this represents the sadness she actually feels inside

I also included a quote on the below the brain of the girl the quote says “A negative mind will never give you a positive life” I thought this related to my theme since the girl is upset/sad and what this quote is saying is she won't a positive life if she stays in this mindset.

Material used: I used mostly regular pencil, colored pencil and watercolor

I used cool toned colors for the border to draw the view to the rain drops in her mind since most of everything is warm toned colors I thought this would help the raindrops pop out better.

I drew the girl in regular gray pencil to show really show how she truly feels because those who viewer don't have sense of her true emotion

What I would do differently: I thought where I choose to cut out worked though I would of liked to used more bold vibrant colors and used more art techniques also the construction of the tunnel book isn't done as well as I would of liked

Zhuoran’s Tunnel Book

Theme - You can’t go back in time, so enjoy what you like, but don’t do things that you’ll regret later.

I use the tunnel book to portrayed the theme of how you can not return to time, so enjoy your time, but don’t do thing you’ll regret later on for that time doesn’t wait for you.

My foreground is a grandfather clock, this represent the generation of time, how the hands go around and around without resting, without waiting for you to catch up..

Moving on to my middle ground, I use a vase of flowers to showcase my idea of “enjoying your time,” because when I have a downtime, I liked to to flower arrangement.

The blue and black combination in my background represents the regretful feelings one experience, and the endless bridge with the birds gave a feeling of loneliness and perspective.

Art techniques I had apply are the overlaying of water colors, as you can see in the margin of this book, I blend orange, red and rose together.
