Not a civil war – Russia’s ‘hybrid’ war against Ukraine

  • Both Putin’s plans: A) to control the whole Ukraine, B) to split Ukraine - failed
  • Pro-Russian forces (whose initial leaders were Russian citizens) control only 2% of Ukrainian territory and only with support of Russian regular troops
  • “Separatists” in Scotland or Catalonia do not kill civilians and do not destroy their own economy
  • Effective Ukrainian democracy is the main threat to Putin’s regime (Putin who have said he would resign in 2024)
