Wall tool, click and drag angle then type in length you want

Shell tool.

Create lines/ shapes then click on end point – choose extrusion length/ height.

Best way to make a shape then 3D rotate.

Last idea – use line tool to create shape wanted.

Hold space bar down and hover until whole line turns blue then ‘click’.

Choose extrusion length/ height.

Rotating objects

Click on a NODE, choose rotate, click on same NODE

Drag an axis, click again and then ROTATE – click to stop

3D rotate click on a NODE and choose Free rotate. Hover around until you find protractor on angle you want to turn. Do same as 2D rotate. This takes a while to master!

Put the earth just below your concrete slab (for drainage aye)

Right click with mouse

Then “display order, send to back”.

Click away or deselect.

Click and drag where you want the detail. A hammer will appear and you can click to make the detail.

Measurements

Ctrl A (be on the wall tool to do this)

Hover over top wall until you find a bold funny shape. Click on wall, then click above it.

Find measurements Ctrl A then change size up the top.

Managing to print

Drag section and details from house to view map, then view map to layout book

Make sure the page size is the same as the one you are going to print to ☺

Site Plans – how I do them

Use the line tool to make another box around your page so you know the printing limits.

Printscreen a site from google and paste onto page. Make same scale to fit roof by making image smaller/ bigger

Delete photo once you have used the line tool to follow the outlines of the objects

Get North symbol 24 from object library and use label/ text tool to label existing and proposed buildings

Don’t forget to give it a title ☺
