📱 Sign in to the Engage App

🔎 Locate your lock

  1. Tap on the plus sign. Fig. 1
  2. Select the “Control Lock” Option Fig. 2
  3. Search for your lock Fig 3
  • Using the credentials Provided (or Mobile Manager - Installer see Slide xx).
  • Locate the site the locks will be installed at under “Sites” select your site.
  • Then navigate to the Device tab

🔒 Factory Reset the Lock

  1. Remove one battery from lock (unscrew backplate to access)
  2. wait 5-10 seconds
  3. Replace battery
  4. Wait for beep
  5. Turn deadbolt twice.
  6. (2) short beeps and (1) long beep means success!

A list will populate if multiple devices are in range select/tap on the lock that matches your lock’s serial number, which can be found on the sticker stuck to your lock’s front plate. Fig. 4

  • Once selected the lock with then begin to connect to the app. Fig. 5 �
  • Once successful it will then ask you if the physical lock is blinking. �Tap yes! Fig.6�
  • Then Name the device Fig. 7�
  • Configuration will begin here this is an autonomous step. Fig. 8�

⭐️ Pro Tip:

When naming the device, be sure to name this according to what your residents will recognize this as so if their lease says Loft 201 or Apt 201 or Unit 201

This will ensure it matches and is easier for you to find later!

  1. Grab the login credentials you set up for your Community Manager and open the App!

  1. Log in! �
  2. Navigate to the �More tab.�
  3. Then tap on the version number 10 times. Fig.10�

🔎 Locate your lock

  2. Select the “NDE” �Option Fig. 2n
  3. Select “Default Settings” Fig 3n

  1. Turn handle you’ll hear a beep Fig. 4n �
  2. A window will pop up for you to be able select the lock you want to commission Fig. 5n �
  3. Be sure to match the serial number between what you see in app and on the physical lock itself! Fig. 6n
  • Using the credentials Provided (or Mobile Manager - Installer see Slide xx).
  • Locate the site the locks will be installed at under “Sites” select your site.
  • Then navigate to the Device tab

🔒 Factory Reset the Lock (FDR)

  1. Remove one battery
  2. wait 5-10 seconds
  3. Replace battery
  4. Using the provided pin hold down the reset button for 7 seconds until you hear the beeps
  5. Turn the backside handle 3 times every time you turn the handle it will beep on the third beep you will hear:
  6. 2 beeps and one long beep means success!

What to do if...

Troubleshooting

I don’t see my invite to the app or credentials I need?

Contact Homebase Support they can assist with getting you back on track with login issues and missing credentials!

The lock I just Installed is not responding to the app or �the fob what do I do now?

Ensure your device is running the latest version of its software and you have Bluetooth on.

As a last resort delete the lock you are having issues with from the Engage App and then perform another Factory Reset (FDR) as described in Step 1 found here. And repeat the Onboarding process for just the engage portion from slide 6 through slide 10. Then try Performing Lock Maintenance again or engaging the lock to unlock it!

The lock I just installed won’t complete the ‘Perform Lock Maintenance’ step?

In this instance the solution is again deleting the lock you are having issues with from the Engage App and then perform another Factory Reset (FDR) as described in Step 1 found here. And repeat the Onboarding process for just the engage portion from slide 6 through slide 10. Then try Performing Lock Maintenance again or engaging the lock to unlock it!

Pro Tip ✨

After resetting an NDE or LE Lock wait 30 seconds for the lock to power on and this has proven to assist with the onboarding process to avoid needing to repeat resetting the NDE or LE.
