The Boise School District has the following strategies that are and will be implemented:

  • Face Coverings - Face coverings that completely cover the person's nose and mouth are required for all students, staff, and visitors while inside all District schools/facilities, including school buses. Face masks are preferred to a face shield. Face Covering Policy
  • Sneeze guards -- We have a few throughout the building: main office, student services, registrar’s office, and attendance office.
  • We have large hallway mobile hand sanitizer stations in each hallway.
  • Hand washing stations/sanitizing/disinfectant in each classroom.
  • Intentional physical distancing measures.
  • We have taken measures to reduce class size and maximize space -- remove furniture, master schedule changes
  • Digital thermometers in each school.
  • Disinfectant spray bottle in every classroom. Staff will be disinfecting at the end of each class.
  • Covid/Safety posters are hung throughout the building

Here are more specific strategies we will be implementing at Frank Church.

Entering the Building

  • As students enter the building, they will use the hand sanitizer at the front doors.
    • There will be hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the building, in each hallway, for students and staff to use during the day.
  • Parents/Guardians must have an appointment to enter the building. Please call the front office if you have any questions or need to make an appointment. (208) 854-5650
  • Face coverings are required for all students, staff, and visitors while inside all District facilities.

Transition Times

  • Students will stay on the right side of the hallway during transitions and maintain appropriate social distancing.
  • During Break/Lunch the cafeteria has reduced seating to aid with the social distancing. Students will have the option to eat outside during break and lunch.

Classroom

  • Classrooms have had a reduction of seating options to help aid with social distancing.
  • Every classroom will be sanitized between each block/class period.
  • If a student leaves a classroom and returns during class, they will need to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon re-entry.
  • Students may only leave the classroom one at a time and use a disposable pass.

Any student with a fever or not feeling well should stay home and continue to work with their teachers through Google Classroom. If a student has a fever or symptoms at school, they will be evaluated by the nurse and sent home if needed.
