INITIATIVE

All Hands and Hearts Mentorship Program

PROGRAM BACKGROUND

The All Hands and Hearts Mentorship program guides ten pairs of mentors and mentees through our specially developed six-month curriculum. The purpose of the program is to help mentees advance their career and to help mentors hone their ability to lead, coach and mentor.

This opportunity is open to all members of the All Hands and Hearts community. We encourage anyone who would benefit from one-on-one mentoring and those who would like the opportunity to share advice, expertise and guidance as a mentor to apply.

Participating in the mentorship program will enable you to develop a close connection with your mentoring partner as well as with others taking part through our peer-support resources. As a mentee, you will leave the program with clear goals for furthering your career and with the tools to achieve these goals. As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to use what you’ve learned during your own career to help a member of the All Hands and Hearts community achieve success.

This overview outlines the details of the mentorship program, what we expect of participants and how you can apply.

GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT

Most of the program will take place between the mentor and mentee of each pair during the six one hour one-on-one monthly sessions. But our alumni relations manager will be on hand to provide any additional assistance.

All mentors and mentees will enjoy exclusive access to our Mentorship Program resources on the Alumni Network, including a mentorship group where they can connect and share tips with other program participants.

We will host optional monthly group calls for participants to meet other mentors and mentees and discuss best practices.

We will also seek monthly feedback from all participants to determine what is going well, what can be improved, and what further support or resources are required.

Whether you participate as a mentor or as a mentee, taking part in this program will provide you with widely applicable skills and insights that will enhance your resume or CV.
