CSEC TRAINING ACTIVITIES
FAMFLIGHT
VISIT
FAM SIMULATOR
Fam flights provide ATCs with the opportunity to experience flight from the perspective of pilots and crew members. This first-hand experience can enhance their understanding of the challenges and considerations faced by flight crews during different phases of flight, including take-off, landing, and in-flight operations
Pilots gain insight into how air traffic is managed and controlled, including the various procedures, technologies, and coordination processes employed by ATC personnel. This first-hand experience enhance pilots’ knowledge and perceptive of ATC decision making.
ATC simulators provide pilots with a realistic representation of air traffic control operations, including airspace, traffic flow, and communication procedures. Pilots can practice interacting with virtual controllers in various scenarios, enhancing their familiarity with ATC protocols and procedures in a controlled setting.
