BCMS Student Bulletins
Week of November 10, 2025
Monday November 10, 2025 - Welcome Back!
Good morning BCMS!
Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and had some time to relax and recharge. We’re entering the final stretch of the marking period, which ends this Friday, November 14. This is your chance to finish strong—check Genesis, make sure all of your assignments are turned in, and take care of any last-minute work that can boost your grades.
Make the most of your Resource time this week! If a teacher asks to meet with you for reinforcement, that’s your opportunity to get extra help, ask questions, and strengthen your understanding. You can also take the initiative to ask a teacher if you can meet during Resource if there’s something you need help with or want to review. Using this time wisely can make a big difference in how you finish the marking period.
Ms. DeVita is out this afternoon. Her period 7 lesson is cancelled. Her period 9 lesson group should report to Mrs. DeNicuolo.
Afterschool Talent Show rehearsal is moving to be virtual. Please check your email from Ms. Gelnaw/Ms. Mileto for more information.
Let’s have a great week and finish the first marking period strong, Falcons!
Tuesday November 11, 2025 - Behavior w/Substitutes
Good morning BCMS,
How we act when a substitute is in the classroom says a lot about who we are as a school. When your teacher is out, you have an opportunity to show leadership, responsibility, and respect — even when no one is watching.
Remember:
Treat your substitute the same way you treat your teacher — with kindness and cooperation.
Follow the directions that are left for the class. Your teacher has trusted you to keep learning even while they’re away.
Be helpful! If the substitute isn’t sure where something is or how something runs, step up and politely guide them.
Keep the room clean and organized so your teacher returns to a space that reflects our pride in BCMS.
Any disrespectful or disruptive behavior toward a substitute will result in an office referral. We expect every Falcon to make positive choices that show our guests what it means to be part of this community.
Let’s make sure every substitute leaves BCMS impressed by our respect, leadership, and Falcon PRIDE.
Have a great day,
- Dr. Stanton
Wednesday November 12, 2025 - Drop-Off Procedures
Good morning BCMS,
One of the key skills we’ve been building in Falcon Foundations is learning how to organize our materials so we’re prepared for the day. Whether it’s using your morning checklist, planning ahead for after-school activities, or keeping track of your supplies, being prepared helps you take ownership of your learning.
To continue building those habits, we’re updating our item drop-off procedures to support responsibility and minimize classroom interruptions:
- Items dropped off by 9:30 a.m. - You will be notified right away and they will be ready for pick-up immediately.
- Items dropped off between 9:30 a.m. and lunch can be picked - You will be notified during resource and can pick-up on your way to lunch.
- Items dropped off after lunch will be available at dismissal.
This system helps everyone stay focused during class time and encourages you to use the organizational strategies we’ve practiced in Falcon Foundations.
Remember — being prepared is part of showing Falcon PRIDE and taking ownership of your day.
Have a great day!
- Dr. Stanton
Friday November 14, 2025 - Partners in Kindness
Good morning BCMS
We’re excited to share that our school is joining the Branchburg Education Foundation’s “Raise Craze: Partners in Kindness” fundraiser starting November 13 through December 3!
This isn’t a typical fundraiser — instead of selling items, we’ll be earning donations by performing Acts of Kindness in our school and community. Every act of kindness—big or small—helps make BCMS and Branchburg a better place.
Here’s how it works:
Students ask friends and family to support their kindness efforts through donations.
In return, students complete acts of kindness for others.
90% of the money raised stays right here in Branchburg to support student programs and enrichment activities!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be celebrating kindness in action and sharing stories of how Falcons are making a difference. Together, we can show what it means to be a school that leads with kindness, inclusion, and Falcon PRIDE!
Have a great day!
