Public Health Education Liaison

Serve as the agency’s expert on alcohol, cannabis, and vapor education and prevention activities at the state and national level.
Share information on the status of education and prevention programs with the Board and senior agency management on a regular basis.
Outcomes will include increased knowledge of agency Board and staff regarding

prevention and public health research and best practices and inclusion

of a public health perspective in agency decision-making.

What is the LCB-Prevention Roundtable?

These started off as a way for LCB leadership to travel to different regions and sit around and share knowledge, experiences and input with prevention and public health professionals.
We had one in Spokane in January 2019, another in Bothell in August 2019. And had planned on one in Vancouver this April. And then Covid19 happened… So we decided to go virtual and had as statewide VIrtuAL roundtable in June of this year.
But we wanted to honor our commitment to have one for the Central and SW regions specifically this year as well so here we are!

We select the agenda topics for each one together with regional prevention and public health partners and try to cover what’s most relevant.
Of course, with this virtual format, it won’t be as easy to build relationships as it was if we were all around one big table, but we’ll try!
