Follow-Up Work

  • Refining standardizable processes for facilitating users who need help transitioning to the new data organization structure or need higher-than-default quotas.
  • Collaborating with UChicago web team to identify/fix bugs, update descriptive text on website pages and for the Sign Up process.
  • How to keep new Sign-Ups from selecting “Google” from Globus/CILogon list? And/or how to work around that?

Campus Integration Facilitation

  • Requests for new campus/org/site) participation should be owned to Lauren.
    • ...especially because the Hosted CE may be new/amenable to existing partners with new resources to share.
    • Should we create a new ‘queue’/group in FreshDesk for “Campus Integration”? (otherwise, Lauren is only in “OSG Connect”)
  • Lauren pulls in BrianB and/or BrianL for an initial consultation to discuss appropriate OSG participation strategies and services.
    • Because these are not as urgent as OSG Connect user requests, they can typically wait until Lauren is back in office, or BrianB can be pulled in.
  • Lauren hands to appropriate teams/areas when next steps require technology services.

    • 2019: ~20 campuses contacted, 11 funded (10 w/OSG)�+1 ‘Network’ project also integrated (The College of New Jersey)
    • 2020: ~30 campuses contacted for letters, nearly all submitted
  • Campuses told to use cc-star-proposals@opensciencegrid.org�Please redirect campuses if they mention CC* or own to/pull in me (Lauren Michael).
    • For any/all campuses, loop Lauren in before moving forward with any technology setup.
  • Funded 2019 CC* projects are public knowledge, but all others should be treated as confidential.�Always let a campus rep volunteer their CC* interest/status to YOU.
    • Do not ask; Do not treat a campus any differently, unless they volunteer the info (see prior point).
