Try to show why your opponent is WRONG.

Instead of…

“What is the difference between a professional teacher and a parent?”

Try asking…

“Isn’t it true that a professional teacher knows more about educating children than a parent who has no training?”

“Isn’t it true that a parent knows their child better than a teacher ever could? Doesn’t this make them a better teacher?”

Try to show that your opponent has WEAK EVIDENCE.

Instead of…

“When you said parents are more qualified teachers, what did you mean?”

Try asking…

“In your speech, you said that parents are more qualified than actual teachers. This sounds like your opinion. Do you have any evidence that this is true?”

Try to show that your opponent is INCORRECT.

Instead of…
