• PBIS training was led by staff in September and student leaders led the refresher training shortly after returning from holiday break.
• Student refreshers were recorded to use as necessary for the remainder of the year

PBIS Parent Contract

To foster the home-school connection, the PBIS Parent Contract was created.

It outlines behavior expectations throughout the school and is signed by both the parent & student after it is reviewed at home.

You’re a ROCKStar!

• Students earn ROCKStar Tickets for R.O.C.K.S. Behaviors.
• Classroom teachers hold drawings and submit one name per month to the office.
• Students are recognized with their picture in the newsletter, an invitation to a pizza party, and ROCKS AWARD Certificate to celebrate!

Respectful & Responsible organized Cooperative Kind Safe

The K-2 & 3-6 class that earn the most each month will win a popsicle party and they will receive a special reward to display in their classroom for the month!

School-wide R.O.C.K.S incentive…

Every month teachers put their ROCKS tickets into a clear container near the office. When the container is full, the school receives an assembly as a reward.

What to do when conflict occurs??

1. Use your words to ask the person to stop bothering you
2. Ignore the person (or walk away from them)
3. Ask an adult for help

Setting expectations to and from recess

Based on our work with Playworks we developed our recess mantra to set the tone for recess and returning to the classroom for learning.

What is the data telling us?

• PBIS Team meetings are held monthly.
• Analyzing SWIS data has allowed us better schedule support for those in need.
• There has been a 56.5% drop in referrals since this time last year.
• Suspensions are also down from last year. There has been a 42% decrease (27 days) in the number of days and 44% drop (18 events) in the number of events.
